1. elf Eyebrow Kit in Light
Eyebrows still reign supreme despite the season and this handy little brow kit has been my BFF for about a year now. There are two sides to this little kit; a wax to fill in the brows and a powder to set them. If you're new to brows, the wax can be kind of a pain to work with. Going over brow hairs, it has no issue, but when extending the brow, you can run into some trouble. However, the setting powder does help to fill in what the wax can't and for the price, I think this is definitely a go-to for people that are trying to decide between brow pencils or wax pomades.
Price ~ $3.00
2. elf Lock On Liner & Brow Cream in Light Brown
elf is really coming in clutch with the brow products lately. If you are anything like me, you dye your hair. A lot. Recently, I've decided to go a dark brown and with that, I needed to darken up my brow game a little, so I picked this bad boy up.A little bit of this really does go a long way and I highly suggest playing with it before heading out for a night on the town. I do find that this is a bit easier to work with than the elf eyebrow kit. Plus, you don't have to set it with anything. However, I would certainly suggest leaving this to those that are pretty well versed in makeup application considering that this can be tricky to handle.
Price ~ $4.00
3. elf Makeup Mist & Set
Again, you can't really beat elf value wise. If you're in a pinch for time or just don't want to spend your coin on setting spray, this is your product. I don't notice any random dots when I apply this and it appears to go on fairly evenly. If you tend to fly through setting spray, I would suggest picking up their large size which will run you six dollars.
Price ~ $3.00
4. wet n wild Photo Focus Foundation in Porcelain
wet n wild came back in a huge way during 2017 and their foundation left us gagging for more. This matte foundation has been my holy grail for the past year. Just about every photo that I have posted in the past few months has seen me wearing this foundation. There are a few cons to this, though. If you prefer applying your foundation with a brush, this may not be the foundation for you. It has a tendency to be a bit streaky when applied with a brush. I also detest the paddle for applying the product to your face. Foundations with a pump fixture are more my style considering they are more hygienic and the paddle action tends to bring out the germaphobe in me.
Price ~ $5.99
5. wet n wild 1 Step Wondergel Nail Color in Power Outage
I wear this nail color consistently. Typically, nail polish doesn't make it a full day before chipping or flaking off on me. However, Power Outage is exactly what I need in a polish. It's easy to apply, dries fairly quickly, and can last about a week before showing signs of wear.
Price ~ $4.99
6. L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise in Black
I don't just like this mascara, I love this mascara. I am someone that was blessed with thin, blonde lashes that add nothing to my eyes. Give 'em a coat of this mascara, and gurrrlll, I've got some eyelashes. Lash Paradise hits every high note for me; it's long wearing, doesn't flake off, and gives my lashes the length and thickness they deserve.
Price ~ $9.99
7. Josie Maran Whipped Mud Mask Argan Hydrating and Detoxifying Treatment
I have managed to get my hands on a couple samples of this mask and I am obsessed, I tend to lean more on the dry side when it comes to skin and after I apply this mask, my skin is glowing for the gods. During the wintertime, this mask is my holy grail and keeps me from looking like the crypt keeper. The only downside I can find is the price and let me tell you, if you've got the pennies to pay - go for it.
Price ~ $48.00 (samples are your BFF)
8. Urban Decay Troublemaker Eyeshadow Palette
I have been using this religiously since garnering it as a gift. This palette consists of ten shades packed with mattes, micro-sparkles, and metallics. The Troublemaker palette has no shortage of pigment and is a warm-toned queen's homie. Prep for some fallout which is natural with pigmented shades.
Price ~ $39.00
9. Sephora Collection Illuminate Palette
I am typically not a huge fan of collections/beauty products put out by major retailers. I typically find the quality to be subpar compared to other brands offered in store. Color me surprised, however, when I picked up this bad boy. This palette consists of six shades ranging from cool to warm tones. I have found the pressed powders to be, well, rather powdery but the color payoff is worth it. These shades are easily buildable and are a great value for the price.
Price ~ $28.00
10. Vegas Nay Fiercely Fabulous Lashes
I was anti-lashes for a long time. I thought they were a waste of money, the glue always irritated my eyes, and they always felt like they were going to fall off at any moment. This past Halloween, however, changed my tune. The band on the Vegas Nay lashes are perfect and not too flimsy. I've worn the sane pair multiple times and now they just set perfectly on my lash line.
Price ~ $7.99
I hope you have enjoyed this installment of Heldie's He** Yeahs! Make sure to let me know if you have tried out some of the products listed above. Did you love them or hate 'em? I also want know about some of your favorites! Don't be afraid to let a girl know!
