If you are reading this, welcome to 2017! It's so nice to have you here and ready for the new year! With the new year comes new resolutions, like staying fit or becoming more financially responsible. Here at Love, Heldie, the new year usually just means thinking about doing those two things and then laughing about how neither them are going to happen. However, maybe your resolution is to up your makeup game. In that case, I can totally help you out. Below, you will find all my top high-end beauty products.Yes, these products aren't the cheapest on the market, but if you love doing makeup with quality products, then keep scrolling!

DISCLAIMER: not all products work with every skin type or tone. Formulas may vary based on shade and consistency. Please keep that in mind.

1. Too Faced Shadow Insurance Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer

One tube of this puppy goes a long way. I use this just about every day and I haven't purchased a new one for seven or eight months. The primer has a slight tint, but I always go over it with a base shadow color. While wearing this, I never experience a shadow shifting on my eyelid or creasing. I don't have oily lids, so I haven't witnessed the product breaking down on my eye. This primer promises a 24 hour wear (which I have never put to the test), but I do feel that it would pass the test!

2. Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette

I use this palette constantly. I received it as a gift and it is definitely one that keeps on giving. This eye shadow palette has twenty shades, including my personal favorites Beat Down, 1985, Flame, Bitter, and Arctic. Unfortunately, the Vice 4 palette was a 2015 limited edition. However, after doing some digging, you can still find this palette on eBay at fairly reasonable prices. Just remember to please read the seller's reviews before purchasing and insure there is a money-back guarantee.

3. IT Cosmetics No-Tug Waterproof Anti-Aging Gel Eyeliner

I received a sample size of this and absolutely adore it. Anytime I do a smoky eye and need something for the waterline, this is my go-to. I think it's pretty similar to the Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayon, but retails for a few less dollars.

4. Smashbox X-Rated Mascara

Another sample size, this is one of my favorite mascaras. I have pretty thin, blonde lashes and this mascara really helps to lengthen and define them. I rarely have issues with it clumping up or transferring on my lid and have had absolutely no problem with it flaking off during the day.

5. Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme

I use this lip plumper twice a day: once in the morning and once in the evening. I've been using it consistently for two months and I do think it has made a slight difference in the fullness of my lips. I'm not saying my lips have gone full Kylie Jenner overnight, but I have noticed a difference. The only problem I have with this product is that it's a gloss. I wish it was just a simple serum. Then, I feel that it could soak into my lips faster. Also, then I wouldn't have to deal with the stickiness of a gloss.

6. Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation (Light 44 Cool)

I am a huge fan of Kat Von D's makeup line, so I was super excited to try out her foundation. This foundation is full coverage and has a 24 hour wear. I haven't had any issues with creasing or it oxidizing on my face throughout the day. It doesn't have a chemical smell and is transfer resistant. Also, it's cruelty free and 100% vegan!

7. tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder

This is the smoothest translucent powder I have ever used. This is a loose powder, not a pressed pigment, so don't wear your favorite black shirt while applying this. I don't really like to use this under my eyes because I do think it settles into my laugh lines. However, I use this powder to clean up my contour or to set more heavy duty foundations.

8. Kat Von D Shade & Light Contour Palette

I have hit pan in four of this six shade highlight and contour palette. It has cool, neutral, and warm undertones which, if I alter my application, all seem to work with my cool toned skin. I have the older version of the palette, but now Kat Von D has released a palette where you can replenish the shades, which I will definitely look into when I'm looking into replacing the palette. I don't always use this for contour, either. I think it works well for eye shadows when building up an eye look.

9. theBalm Cosmetics Mary-Lou Manizer

As far as highlights go, this is my favorite one. I have hit pan in this, but this is a highlighter that I wear just about every day. It works just as well as an eye shadow and is the only product I use to highlight my inner corner.

10. Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

When I dream about setting sprays, this is what my dreams are made of. When I wear this, you can bet my makeup is going to be lasting all day. My face is less prone to being shiny and this product does not leave my skin feeling tacky. It doesn't have a chemical smell and feels like it takes about ten seconds to dry.

Heldie
